AMERICAN RED CROSS ASKING FOR HELP

TO HONOR EVERYDAY HEROES

[JACKSON], Michigan, January 11, 2008 – The American Red Cross is asking you to take action in honoring our Everyday Heroes.  Nominations for Everyday Heroes can now be submitted to the American Red Cross for any heroic act that took place between January 1, 2007  and December 31, 2007.  Deadline for nominations is January 31, 2008. 

Each year ordinary people who do extraordinary acts of heroism from Jackson and Hillsdale counties are honored at the Annual American Red Cross Everyday Heroes Dinner held in March.

Businesses are encouraged to participate by helping distribute nomination forms.   Nomination and Sponsorship Forms are available to download on the American Red Cross website at www.redcross-scmichigan.org under the Events tab on the left hand side of the homepage.  For more information on nominating Everyday Heroes or sponsorship opportunities please contact Karen Randall at the American Red Cross in Jackson at 517-782-9486 or krandall@redcross-scmichigan.org .
