[JACKSON], Michigan, November 6, 2006 – The American Red Cross is asking you to take action in honoring our Everyday Heroes. Nominations for Everyday Heroes can now be submitted to the American Red Cross for any heroic act that took place between January 1, 2006 and December 31, 2006. Deadline for nominations is January 5, 2007.

Each year ordinary people who do extraordinary acts of heroism from Jackson and Hillsdale counties are honored at the Annual American Red Cross Everyday Heroes Dinner held in March.

Businesses are encouraged to participate by helping distribute nomination forms. Nomination and Sponsorship Forms are available to download on the American Red Cross website at www.redcross-scmichigan.org.
