The South Central Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross announces the appointment of Sarah A. Hill as its new Emergency Services Director.

Prior to accepting the position, Hill served as a member of the Disaster Action Team for the Midland/Gladwin Chapter of the American Red Cross for over three years. She also served as a Community services volunteer in Gulfport and Biloxi, Mississippi where she was deployed for the Katrina Hurricane.

In addition, Hill previously worked for Dow Chemical Employees’ Credit Union in Midland, Michigan. Her responsibilities will include directing the Chapter’s disaster preparedness and response activities, and provide guidance for the community disaster education program for South Central Chapter jurisdiction. She will also facilitate information sharing with community groups regarding Red Cross disaster responsibilities, preparedness and other activities.
